Early observations on Superchips Flashpaq install

So yesterday around lunch time my used superchips flashpaq f5 came in. Totally honest I bought it to correct tire size and disable afm. So when I took lunch yesterday I installed the afm disable and changed my tire size. Driving home I switched the dic to instant economy to see if it was really not going into v4 which I didn't really need to do since its EXTREMELY noticeable on my truck when it does. So when I was most of the way home I flipped through the rest of the dic and found just from those 2 things I had gained .1 mpg avg most of which could have been attributed to the computer knowing I'm running bigger tires which means it corrected the speedometer and odometer. Bigger tires makes it think youre not going as fast or as far. So today I decided to try the 87 tune and add the afm disable, the tire size and I also went to 25% on the tq management as well as adjusted a few shift points. Still holding the mpg but it is definitely a whole new truck. Before anybody chimes in I'm not looking to get big hp out of the truck so a "canned" tune was all I wanted. the truck has the 3.08 gears which I still don't like but its hard not to like on the highway since 80mph is 1600 rpm. At 75 mph it was 1500 and I had the dic on instant mpg mode and it was reading 33 mpg, instant not avg. the little bit of extra power definitely helps take the lug out of acceleration. I will leave it set like it is for the rest of the week and see how it goes. anybody have any input on settings that they like or work well feel free to chime in.

2016 6.2 8spd here. I am looking at the superchips F5 and I was wondering if it has an option to simply prevent going into AFM until like a set speed of say 60 mph instead of just shutting it off completely? I recently installed the GM Borla exhaust and when the AFM kicks in at low speed it sounds like a huey helicopter has come up behind me. Not noticeable at all on the highway and probably not noticeable to my passengers even at low speed unless I tell them about it but I do not not like the sound and AFM has to go at low speeds. Figured since the Range device is 200 bucks then why not go ahead and get a hand held programmer and maybe I can make some other fun changes for an extra 125 bucks. F5 is $347.50 with tax here in middle TN and the local authorized dealer says they will help me load the program the first time. I am sure that like all others the superchip allows you to go back to stock tune at anytime? Not 100% sure the superchip allows trans shift point changes I would not mind a nice tire bark 1st to 2nd.

I had a TransAm in high School with a shift kit and it would bark the tires on all shifts even at 80mph man I miss that car LOL Wife says I am in my second childhood here....

The f5 does not have the ability to disable afm at speed. It is either on or off. That being said, my mpg is just as good if not better with it turned off. There are some shift point adjustments but I doubt you will be able to chirp the tires. Right now I'm running the 91 octane tune with afm disabled and superchips setting for tq management. I got 22.5 mpg on a 65 mph 60 mile run with cruise control on. Mainly flat road. My truck has the 3.08 gear ratio though (unfortunately)
