Driving home today with A/C on full blast, I thought, "Man, it's getting hot in here." Put my hand by the vents and warm air was coming out.

When I got home, I shut the truck off then started it and tried again. Still warm. Called the dealership and made an appt for two days from now.

Took my daughter to work, still warm. Tried it again on the way back home, cold again.

So now what? If it continues to work, should I still take it in?

Have you ever heard of this happening?

If you have a 2014, there is a good chance one of the freon lines split...there are multiple threads on this topic.

Mines a 2015. If a freon line split wouldn't the freon all be lost? So how would the A/C begin working again hours later?

Anyway, 2 days later and it's still working fine. So I guess I will skip the trip to the dealership.

I figured there were other threads. I searched for them and did not find them.

After working for a couple days, A/C is now back to intermittently. took it in and it was diagnose as stuck open expansion valve and A/C solenoid melting inside the compressor.

Replaced both under warranty and so far so good.
