Upgrading 2014 Denali suspension

Recommended Posts

So I have a 2014 Denali 4x4 6.2 with a rough country leveling kit that was installed from the dealership when I purchased the truck. I am wanting to upgrade my tires and wheels soon and am thinking about suspension upgrades at the same time. I have looked into the King 2.5 coilover with cognitio Uca's. This will primarily be a street truck with the occasional off road for hunting and driving on horrible city roads. I'm looking for a better than stock ride so any options will be considered. I am hoping to achieve a level stance or a slight lift due to parking garage constraints. I will be installing 33" tires on 20" fuel rims.

Following the post as I am looking to do a similar setup, but I can tell you there have been multiple threads about Fox coilovers with UCA's not many people on here are using King as are using Fox, so prepare yourself for that.

From what I have gathered from my research Fox shocks say they will offer 2" lift but most people end up having problems with them not lifting enough and require a lot of wasted time to adjust them properly.

King 2.5 with UCA will actually give you a 2.5-4" lift. I think it might even replace your leveling kit, but dont quote me on that I am far from an expert. I am sure someone can confirm or deny.

My King 2.5 coilovers added about 2.25" of lift in the front which was about .2-.3" less than the Fox 2.0 coilovers. This is with factory steel suspension.

The Cognito UCAs are great quality, their customer service is awesome, and for a greaseable ball joint UCA they're hard to beat.

If you're open to a uni-ball UCA take a look at Camburg's 1.25" uniball arms. I'll be swapping out for those in the near future.

If you go with either the Fox or Kings, the ride will be worlds better than factory and you'll never go back.

Do you also have an actual level kit? Or just the shocks and UCAs?
