I want to replace my original 245/75r16 Firestone

Steeltex under my truck by 265/75r16

I am considering Bridgestone A/T Revo or BF Goodrich ALL-Terrain T/A KO or Toyo Open Country

Which one would be the best

I do lot of travel with my truck for my job

It is about 70 percent of highway versus 30 percent of gravel road

Help me make a decision

Revos! put 265 D's on my HD..love 'em. quietest on highway, softest ride (with correct air pressure for the duty) they channel water well (looking at the tread design I can believe that, with sipes and straight channels). They balanced with 1/4 once or so each all around. Had FS SZ50EP's on my Corvette. These new high line Bridgestone/Firestone products are quality! Built with Uni-T tech. 2 layer tread ect., and besides...Goodrich are French! Do you think they will run to our assist next time? noooo

I have Revo's on my truck as well. The provide a quiet, smooth ride. Great tire for water and snow. I have no complaints at all with about 10k on them. A definite improvement over the stock Wilderness AT's.

I have the Revos. I have put about 15k miles on them with no problems. We had a rough winter here in Indiana and they were great. I highly recommend.

Yup, Revos here, also and I drive about the same 70:30 highway/bad-road combo. Awesome, especially in wet slippery weather.

Got the revo's on my truck as well, 285's on my 2000 1500 Z71. Love the tires, great handling ability, nice tread pattern, and they look good also. Don't forget that you get a milage warranty with these LOAD rated tires. You can't get that with a lot of other tires.

AT Revos 285's here. Have about 2500 miles on them. Great on dirt, water, and gravel. I have not seen any major mud yet. Just got back from a 1500 mile tow. Trailer was about 5K. Had 20 miles of dirt, some gravel and a couple of hours worth of rain. About half of the rain was at 55-65 in construction areas. Tire performed great! I don’t expect much out of them in heavy mud. I have driven them once in heavy rain unloaded and could not get them to hydroplane. Not silent, but very, very quite. Much less noise than the GY Wrangler ATs I took off. The BFGs are fairly noisy as well. They are (at least mine was) Japanese built. Considering some of the US Firestone problems I considered it a plus. And considering the BFG “French connection” I’ll have to pass on these for a while!

Go for it! I think you’ll be impressed.

Rippem, what is the pressure you are running on your Revos. I also have Revos on my '03 HD. I think I have what the sidewall on the tire says. Just wondering.

I've only had them on a short time..will continue to experiment with pressures. Right now I'm @ 48 lbs. front, 44 lbs rear. At these pressures the truck rides as nice or nicer than my '98 ext cab heavy duty chassis k1500. I feel that with a "soft ride" pressure up front, and the forward weight of this drivetrain, "proper"alignment is more critical. I will keep my eyes peeled for any odd tire wear, though every one I've ever had seems to feather the outside biters regardless of alignment spec. I have the 265 "D" load range. I will go to probably 55-60 lbs rear when I tow my 7300 - 8300lb powerboat (dependent on fuel in the boat...150 gals of fuel weighs 1000 lbs.) It's on a triple axle with "just right" tongue weight, so I'm not too worried about rear tire heat. Rippem
