Front hitch options 2016 Sierra 1500 SLT

Hi GM Trucks,

I figured I'd start by reading every post from "What have you done to your K2 today" before I start posting and I've done just thathe. One thing I haven't discovered yet through reading or searching on here is a good front hitch setup. The curt I ordered sits way too low and kills approach angles (especially with my tray style bike rack mounted. So does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to get a hitch that sits right below the bumper or higher on there trucks?

Thanks for you collective help.

Cheers,

I also wanted to tell you guys/gals that there are a ton of great trucks in that thread, nice jobs. It's inspired some ideas for my new truck for sure.

If you're still looking........

There are some good ones out there, using universal hitchs. Reese 37042 is one of them. Curt and DrawTite should also have universals that should work too. The mount holes, on the Reese, pretty much line up with the pre-existing holes on the frame. When you put the center part of it in, put it in upside down, puts the receiver up against the bumper. If you have a front plate holder, you will need to remove it, and there is a license plate holder for a 2" receiver on Amazon and e-trailer, if you're in a 2 tag state. There is a build-up on this, using a Curt 13900, in the I need some help finding the right front receiver! thread. I've had my Reese 37042 for almost a year now, still haven't had the time to tear my front end apart to install it. Hopefully, I'll be able to K.O. this during Thanksgiving week or Christmas week, like I wanted to do LAST YEAR.
