1997 chevy k1500 fuel problem

i have a 1997 chevy k1500 i put a new rebuild 383 stroker and i changed it to carb and put a 4l80e tranny in it. so it runs great when you first start it up then when you run around a little bit the fuel presher drops to 0 when i stop at a stop sine or drive really slow. i changed the fuel reagulator and changed the fuel pump and it still has the same problem.

does anyone have any ideas?

Maybe a bad relay or a leak somewhere in the line would be my guess. Have you changed your fuel filter? When you give it gas does it die or start to sputter?

 

Had this problem, thought it was a bad pump. Turned out the fuel pump relay and several of my sensors were bad, but yours sounds like either a leak, bad filter or the relay.

i changed the filter about a year ago i am going to buy a new filter and relay tomorrow. when i hit the gas the pressure goes up then drops down to 0. but when driving it runs great. when its cold and starts up the pressure is about 6 lbs when in park and when i but it in drive then i take it for a run let it warm up then when i stop i pop the hood and the pressure is at 0 lbs

i changed the fuel pump relay and the fuel filter and checkd the pressure no leaks and still loosing fuel presher as soon as i put it in drive. when im driving it runs great i have no idea what to do next

So it idles ok and you can rev it when it's in neutral or park? (i.e. not under load?)
