Anyone? I'm interested in this as well as my local shop recommended it over the BDS due to it being a single welded piece vs 4 main components bolted together.

you can't go wrong with rancho.....I have had two of them on past trucks ('02 1500,'06 2500hd) and absolutely no issues with any drivetrain components...plus right now they have there spring rebate going on.

I like what I have been reading on Rancho. Why do they get so much discredit? Is it because they have been around for so long? Whats the deal???

People don't like them because then you can't put a pretty little fox sticker on the back window or tailgate. Their suspension system are top notch. I ran there 4" on my 2500 hd for 6 Wisconsin winters and not one speck of rust on the components or problems with it. Tenneco is the parent company of Rancho and they've made a lot of factory Oem parts for GM over the years so they know our suspension really well. Trust me you can't go wrong with there aftermarket stuff. If you play your cards right you can get deals on their stuff when the run their rebate program.

Yeah funny you say that... while watching some youtube videos on trucks and lifts I noticed that they were pulling out Rancho shocks off as "factory" oem parts. Weird. I'm really having a hard time justifying buying the Rancho though. I want whom ever decided to buy my truck when I'm finished with it down the road to know it has a good kit under it. (Like BDS) I don't know how much convincing I'll be able to do with a Rancho.

Thoughts on that?

The Rancho shocks on stock trucks are not true Rancho shocks. It's like buy a John Deere tractor from Home Depot vs a small engine dealer....there junk with brand name stickers on them.
