Hey guys so I need some help. I have a 2006 gmc sierra denali and she has been giving me some trouble recently.

It started on the highway when I noticed it was struggling to maintain the speed limit. I made it home and now it's gotten worse. Max speed I hit was 40 but that was me trying not to push it too much. The truck will shift into 2nd no problem but then when it hitstarts around 2000 rmps it is lose near all acceleration. I went through and dropped the pan and the attached was dirty but other than that it seemed normal. There were shaving but not in a largeneral amount. At this point I have no idea what could be causing this. Has anyone have or heard of a similar problem?

Need a bit more of a description of the the problem.

Does it seem like the trans can't find 3rd? Slipping?

Does the engine seem to be misfiring, stumbling?

is the MIL lit? Codes?

Rebuild time unfortunately.

By what you are describing, the trans is going to have to come out to be repaired. If its coming out, it might as well be rebuilt.

I paid $2100 from my 2007 Avalanche rebuild with a 3yr / 36000 miles warranty
