Dual exhaust prices

Going to need to replace my muffler soon. Those of you who have gone to dual systems, about how much do they run installed. Just in general, Flowmaster or any other common brands. Just looking for ballpark figures.

Anyone in the south Fort Worth or Arlington TX area had duals installed lately, where and how much? I'll just have the muffler shop do it instead of trying myself.

thanks

An aluminized system from Gibson, Flowmaster, etc. will run you roughly $300 plus installation if you don't do it yourself. The recommended stainless systek,.m will run $450-500 plus installation. If you do it yourself, shop around on the Internet. I think Perfromance Products currently has a free shipping deal for fathers day.

I had a magnaflow installed on mine and I am very pleased with it. Its not a true dual, its a 3" single in and dual 2-1/2" out. Basically they just cutoff the old muffler and installed this one. I like it because it doesnt have the resonance that my old flowmaster 40 series had at highway speeds. However, under throttle this one really opens up, sounds great and is fully stainless with a lifetime warranty. Mine cost $250 installed at a local muffler shop (Houston). I think the muffler alone is around $125. Im not sure what muffler you are considering, but at least keep magnaflow as an option.

BTW....If you run true duals, you will need to add an h-pipe or x-pipe to balance out the pressure and be a true performance system versus just a noise maker.

Paid about $260.00 for mine including muffler, pipes, tips and install. See details in sig. Had it done at the Auto King shop down the road from me.

Flowmaster- love it!

FREE, I got the hook up!

Hook me up. I'm looking to get dual exhaust myself. I've been thinking about ordering a system from Gibson.

Thanks, if I can find Magnaflow, flowmaster etc installed for around $300 that sounds pretty good. I'm looking at just dual outlets with one muffler. Mine currently has begun rusting, I seem to be getting better gas mileage all of a sudden. Used to get to about 360 miles when the low fuel light comes on, now for the last 3 tanks its been around 385 before the light comes on. Don't know if the muffler has anything to do with it but if so maybe a better free flowing one will help too.
