Im trying to install fog lights on my 07 classic. Apparently GM doesnt offer the accessory kit anymore. Im wanting to know if anyone has used the kit off of ebay, if so was it easy to install and can i do an HID upgrade with that kit?

It should be straight forward if your truck already has the correct fog light wiring harness. If not it is still possible but you will need to add the proper harness that feeds the fog lamps, plus you will need to enable these in the BCM via TechII and get the Fog lamp switch panel if you want to keep it OEM looking.

Thats the problem that i am having. it doesnt have anything and the dealer said that the kit was discontinued. So im going to have to go with the generic kit from ebay, unless you or someone else knows where i can get the oem kit. I would rather have the oem.

The kit isn't available but the individual parts should be or find a junkyard that has one of these trucks with a good front clip and pick-up the parts that you need.

Remember factory fog lights are maybe 50 watt MY (ILLEGAL ), aftermarket fog lights I added are 100 watts each.,twice what the wires were designed for so I used factory dash board switch switch to trigger CONTINUOUS duty solenoid wired with 30 amp fuse direct to battery, then from the solenoid to the fog lamps -- they are very bright, and best not to use in traffic so as not to blind the oncoming vehicle I use them on the back roads, and switch them off is a vehicle is headed my way Amp draw IS 12 volts divided into 200 watts...total so my lights pull almost 18 AMPS

without a solenoid or relay or if you use too small of wires , you will SMELL SMOKE !!
