I'm confused

OK, I've read a bunch of threads about torsion bars, ford keys, etc. I'm still confused. I have the following questions:

1) If I want to raise, by about 1.5-2", the height of my front end (on a 2003 Tahoe 4x4) do I: (a) crank the torsion bars; (b) crank the torsion bars and get "ford" keys; © crank the torsion bars and get the "key with the green (purple?) paint on it; or (d) just get either the "ford" keys or the key with the paint?

2) If I can raise the front by either cranking the torsion bars or using the keys, what are the pros and cons of each method?

3) What's the difference between the "ford" keys and the "key with the green paint?" Are the ford keys actually something that I'd buy at a Ford dealer or is it a generic, non-branded, term?

4) As you can tell, I'm not a great mechanic. Should I expect my dealer to be willing to do whatever it takes to answer question No. 1 above (and then do the re-align)? If so, how much should this cost (or how long should it take)?

Thank you for your patience.

A good place to start is to look under your truck and see how much of the bolt is left to "crank" up your front end. It seems that all these trucks are set up differently at the factory. Some people have alot of adjustment left in the factory set-up, while others have very little travel left.

If you have alot of threads left on the bolt, then give it 4 turns and see how it looks...
