New to us 'Burb 2500!

Picked up a "new to us" Burb 2500 about 3 weeks ago. Haven't had a chance to post up as we headed out on vacation with it 2 days after we got it.

 

Back story is that I was tired of dealing with constant repairs on my '15 Ram 3500 Mega Diesel, so we sold it back to the local dealer and went on an urgent quest to find the nicest, lowest mile 2500 Burb we could find. A WEEK before our annual family camping vacation LOL.

 

Found a clean 13 Burb LT some 650 miles from home. Black/Black, all options, 68K miles. Bought it over the phone and paid to have dealer deliver it to us. I knew I wanted a couple things changed before we towed our 7400# trailer, so I had parts ready when it arrived. Swapped on new E load rated BFGs, Bilstein 4600 shocks, towing pads, and ended up having to immediately replace the alternator and battery when we got the truck because the regulator was flakey. Selling dealer has promised reimbursement for this, which was nice.

 

Towed 1600 miles with it 2 days after we got it, and LOVE IT. The kids travel terrific in it because they have more space, and it handles our trailer just fine. It's in beautiful shape inside and out, with only minor frame rust on the very back of the frame from NY winters. We will clean it and undercoat the %#%#} out of it before this upcoming Michigan winter.

 

I scheduled an appt with local Chevy dealer when we got home, as I had intermittent CEL P0171 and P0174 while on our trip, lean bank 1 and 2, which we figured was probably a bad MAF (confirmed) and the passenger exhaust manifold rearmost stud was snapped off. Dealer fixed and we get it back tomorrow.

 

The only history I have on the vehicle, courtesy of local Chevy dealer pulling warranty history is:

 

31k replace wiper module

55k replace drivers side exhaust manifold (common issue)

60k fuel injector(s?) serviced (kinda odd, no detail)

68k replace wiper module (again, before they delivered to us) and we replaced alternator/battery

72k (now) doing MAF and passenger manifold.

 

Not a ton of work, and most is common GmT900 issues it sounds like, but a PITA that we've done as much as we've had in 3 weeks.

 

Hoping that we've got the kinks worked out now and that we can put some trouble free miles on it now:)
