Front grille bowtie

I was walking through Home Depot the other day and happened to end up in the paint section. Walked down the asile w/ spray paint. Saw a can of paint and the lid was dark grey and had metallic flakes in it. I said to myself, man that looks like the color of my truck! Well I'll be d***ed if it wasn't close, really close .

 

I sanded and painted the bowtie and since I had the hood open figured I try it on some other things- fuse box cover and throttle body cover (on top of engine). Put a couple coats of clear on top of that- AWESOME! Now I need to get battery and coolant covers so I can do them to match. Just the painted bowtie makes the front of the truck look different.

 

If anyone else has a 2003 Dark Grey Metallic colored truck and wants to do this-

 

The paint is Rust-Oleum Metallic. The UPC sticker on the can says 7250 Black Night Metallic.

 

I will try to get some pics of the whole truck up when I'm off next week.
