Can someone help me with these swap questions?

I've searched high and low for these question and couldn't find it. I'm doing a 5.0 tbI to 350 tbi swap in my 95 sierra. I've gotten most things figured out with my parts except for 2 things. Is the esc the same on both of theseach motors? I've read it was built into the computer and both motors use the same computer part number. Also what controls the transmission shifting and would I need to replace it with one from a 5.7 truck aswell. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Trans is the same, the computer itself is also the same, the eprom (chip inside the computer) may be different. You can still get them from Hypertech, but in all likely hood it will run just fine with the stock chip.
