Tire change for 03' silverado LT HD 6.0

Hello all,

I have an 03 2500HD 6.0 silverado LT ext cab with stock tires. I want to put 265's on it. I asked my dealer what tire sizes were available and he told me that there were no other choices for the 03'. Can anybody confirm this or tell me if they had their 03's computer flashed.

265 is the biggest factory option. And the dealer could reflash your PCM. But 285 look right at home on the HD's. But you will have to buy a Hypertech or Predator programmer to adjust the tire size.

Their are no optional tires available from the factory -- GM only has 245's on the HD's. Those of us that have switched tires did so after we got our trucks.

I'm running 265's on my HD, and I figure that I am reading slow on my odometer at highway speeds by 3-4 MPH. I never recalibrated, but I did ask my dealer about it, and offered to pay him if he could do it for me. He told me to not worry about it, and just to keep my speeds down...

The good thing is that I'm not racking up the miles as fast as I would have if I had left the stock 245's on!!!
