Truck after rain

Has anyone noticed their truck having a lot of runoff after big rain. I have pulled my truck into the garage during heavy rain and it seems there is a ton of water that comes off the truck. I have a factory spray in bedliner not sure if that is the problem because I didnt look in the bed after pulling in just notice the water on the basement floor. Really seems strange will check the bed after the next storm to see if bed is holding water.

I've found that the fender liners hold a lot of water and take quite a while to drip out after getting really wet. While they're nice for killing some road noise, I'm curious how the metal behind might be prone to premature rust.

I did notice a trail of water from the right front leading to large puddle and I probably have a very slight low spot on garage floor but I traded a 2004 GMC and never had anything like this much water

I notice a fair amount of water coming off my truck, but didn't really concern me. I have a spray-in bed liner but it's covered with a tonneau cover so I don't think it's that. As mentioned before, the fender liners hold a lot of moisture. Not sure if that spray-on water repellant stuff would make them retain less water or not (in theory, it should).

You should see how much snow is carried by the fender liners. Does anyone sell regular plastic fender liners?

Are the front liners on work trucks smooth plastic? I want to swap them out also I don't need carpet wheel liners.

I just assumed the wheel well was something besides metal under the carpet. Never checked it out. Are you guys sure it's metal?

I'm glad I read this post, my truck has been peeing a ton in the garage after a rain. I never thought about the carpet in the fender wells. I checked them and they seem to be holding a ton of water almost like a sponge.

I checked the fender wells after the last big rain and they are the problem with the major dripping leading to pools of water in garage. Going to try some type of water repellent as mentioned to stop the flood.
