USB Cord vs. SD Card

Hey guys,

 

Was wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a known issue or what: When I plug my iPhone 6 into the centre console USB port to play music, it works no problem. The only thing I notice is there's a lag between when I switch songs with my steering wheel buttons. It's a second or two and it's annoying if I'm trying to flip through a bunch of songs. Now with an SD card, it's no issue. It flips through songs immediately.

 

Anyone else experience this? I'm using an Apply USB cord so it's not some cheap knock off (not that it should matter, but you never know).

how many songs on your iPhone. the reason I ask is my new iPod takes a few seconds between songs on shuffle, and I think it is because I have over 5000 songs on it.

I am by no means an expert, but ended up just replacing my usb port in the center console. I had problems with my old IPod, which looking back was not the problem, but not my iPhone. have had no issues since I switched the port, except sometimes it takes a second to fish through the 5000 songs for the next one.
