Amber fog lights for '03 GMC.

Anyone know of a replacement bulb for the '03 fog lights that is amber? Number please if you know of one.

there are no replacement bulbs for them yet. but there is one modification that you can do. high beam bulbs(9005) will fit with a little trimming

Just be sure to watch your wattage to prevent melting the housing.

A couple years ago, I replaced the stock 27 watt bulbs with 55 watt bulbs, and they melted my housings.

i'll have pics up soon!! It has not melted the housing, but it did discolor to center piece though. it think it looks pretty cool.

Thanks. I'll try the 9005s. If I'm reading the bulb correctly the stock bulb in my GMC is 42.5 or something close to that. I looked at it 2 weeks ago but my 54 year old memory ain't what it used to be.

I, finally, got back on this project. Seems like GM made a change on '03 GMC or before on the fog lights. The 880/893 bulbs don't fit in my housing. The stock bulb is a 9145 and is 42 watts. Looks like I'll just leave them alone. (dam, that's hard to do!)
