Gears only difference in Chevy 2500HD's?

I purchased a used 2012 Chevy 2500HD Z71 6.0 liter gas recently. Found out it has 3.73 gears. Also found out there were options for 4.10 gears which has a significant towing difference (about 3500 pounds). I've inquired locally to getting the gears swapped out to 4.10 in both front and back. I know it'll be approx $2700 to $2800 for front and back and speedo reprogramming/tuning. Does anyone know if there is any differences other than the differential gears in the two versions? I've read hundreds of posts about people swapping out 3.73 to 4.10 with good results but nothing about needing to swap out anything else. Thanks in advance.
