Hello, so I'm replacing the stock chevy 350 vortec. I'm replacing it for a chevy 350 vortec long block, bored .30 over with an rv cam. Do I need to do anything to my computer??? Is it going to cause me problems??? I'm hoping someone can give me some advice thanks.

in the old rv cam (those were made in the 70s), the claim to fame was needing nothing more. Not even a stall convertor.

maybe exhaust after the headers. the 350 vortec exhaust is big to begin with, factory works fine.

I would even slap the old LT4 cam, and do nothing extra.. even in the 305.

Vortec self learns the feeds.

the factory cat might trigger the 420 code.

Thanks for the reply sir, the cams already in and the new motor is halfway done, the rv cam in there now is from summit racing, and like I said it's bored .30 over. The next thing I was gonna do is the exhaust and out shorty headers on it. Get that 25% more power. But I'm hearing this computer is going to mess it all up. I'm not sure what to do. Some people said as long as it's not a choppy cam, I'll be okay, others are saying it's a big deal and you have to get it tuned.
