Tranny update

On last Thursday I bought my truck in for the problem it has of not shifting into 4th until 65mph. The mechanic checked the "codes" then took it for a test drive. He comes back and say's "somethings goin on and I gotta take it apart". Luckily I am still under warranty. Makes me consider buying an extended warranty except I already got a free one from GM for the Slaperado issue for the engine, I wonder if you can buy one for everything except the engine- probably not. BTW, they had a couple of '03 SS models there, with a sticker of 42k, I said you got to be joking! Nothing to justify that price, plastic has gotten even cheaper and more abundant than on my '01. The grille looks like toy truck material, you can tear it with your fingers. The inside looks like they stole the plastic from Playskool. When is GM gonna get the message, give us quality parts and reliable mechanicals! I would be embarrasesd if I was a salesman and had to rationalize a 42k pickup truck made out of recycled plastic to a customer! I will let you know what they discover with my tranny...
