Windshield protection.

This past week I was the proud recipient of three spiderweb cracks in my windshield. The factory windshield is a lost cause now, and having already fixed two other chips. I feel there has to be a better way.

Googling around I came across windshield protective film. Anyone use these products? Most of them have 5 year warranties, reduce nighttime glare, and has UV rating.

Today I looked into this protective windshield cover.

You will get pitting in the film, and it may still get into the glass if the rock is golf ball size.

However, this can really help with chips and cracks.

Local cost is 299.00 installed. Helps with night glaring, has UV protection, and of course the stronger more chip resistant coating.

Looking at a lot of the cheap windshields, a good one is going to run me a bit more. Might as well protect the investment.
