GM Recalls nearly 700,000 Silverados and Sierras!

apparently, a software glitch in the EPAS system causes you to lose power steering for a second, which would increase the risk of losing control and getting into an accident; and surprise surprise, it only affects 2014 MY Silverados and Sierras. naturally, with it being a recall, Dealers will flash the EPAS system for free. better plug in those VINs to the GM Recall site!

There were multiple members here that had issues with the steering jerking out of their hand and/or it would stop working. I am pretty sure a TSB was issued to pull the dash panel and remove the insulation between the ground strap at the drivers side A post. I guess that was not the issue, or at least not the complete cure.
