I purchased a Mosin Nagant and decided to modernize it and use it for deer hunting. Mods are....

 

- Timney trigger

- Archangel Stock

- Bi-pod

- Junk Scope mount (soon replaced)

- Junk Scope (soon replaced)

- Bent bolt

- Cut the barrel down and did zero degree crown

- Rattle can paint job (soon replaced with cerakote)

Decided I didn't like the rattle can so bolt, barrel, and receiver were cerakoted.

I take the bi-pod off while hunting.

Nicely done! I've been meaning to get an Archangel stock. Have you taken it out yet? How do the mags perform? I have a M59 I'm going to give a similar treatment.

I've been using it for the past 2 years. My buddy owns a gun store (he did all the work) he has a 900 yard range. I have hit steel plates at 900 yards with it. Although, tough to see that far with my scope we had to setup a spotting scope and he helped me dial it in. The short mag is great but the long mag feeds funny and sometimes jams (bad mag). It's a really fun gun, every time I pull it out people crowd around to ask what it is.
