Finally - License plate bulb covers

Well I finally was able to get the black license plate bulb covers to replace the chromes ones that came on my truck. They look much better. Also the cost for 2 was like $14.

Looks good Ryan. I just noticed the other day that my '03 has the black ones. My '01 had the chrome ones. I like the look of the black ones better now that I have them. Never noticed them on any other truck before. Guess it's not one of those things that catches your eye. Also the black ones are easier to keep clean.

 

 

What's the "7,000" mean at the bottom of your tag? Weight?

I like my chrome ones, they blend in with the bumper better.

oh DUH can you tell i woke up this morning at 5am (its now 11:15 and i only took and hr nap)

 

It says Truck 7000

 

thats the rating. My dads S-10 says Truck 11000 haha Only reason he has higher plates is because it makes him exempt from emissions testing.

 

The rating is basically what you can tow. I could technically get a 25K rating but i would pay out the butt for it. Going from a 7K to an 11K is about $50 a yr

Simple. Black plastic is cheaper than chromed plastic.
