1995 Silverado - Battery Drain

I recently tracked down my late grandfather's 1995 Silverado Stepside (V6 MT) and I am now the proud owner of a piece of [my childhood] history! I have had bad luck with the battery draining while parked. Tonight I decided to charge the battery and take her out for a ride and before I even put the key in the ignition, I noticed the climate control recirc light was illuminated. I curiously reached up and cycled the blower through all of the speeds and they worked - without the key! I believe I have found the culprit on the parasitic drain issue - but I am at another dead end. I know with the 2003 - 200X years, the module on the blower motor was notorious for going out but I cannot figure why my climate control panel is alive on my 1995. Any help would be appreciated!

Ignition switch fried? What else besides the HVAC never shuts off with the key "off"?

Yeah, you need to find where the 12v is getting around the key switch.
