Backup Camera

I have a 2017 Silverado 1500 double cab. It came without navigation and no back up camera. I went to the dealer to see if GM made a kit to put a camera in... they said no. I see a GM kit to install a camera in a 2012 Silverado.... wonder if anyone has tried this in a newer truck. I don't want to go the aftermarket route... no good place to mount a monitor. Love my truck, just wish it had a backup camera.
