Any way to see altitude on GPS?

I have a 2017 Sierra All Terrain. Is there a way to display current altitude on the GPS? My last few vehicles did this. I live in the mountains and regularly drive up around 10,000 ft. Being able to display altitude is a nice feature. Am I missing it or is it just not there?

I have been wondering that too. It's the only thing I've been missing on the new truck. I usually keep an eye on it when driving through the mountains in British Columbia.

Are there any hidden menus on the navigation system that allow features to be turned on or off?

 

If anybody knows, I'd really appreciate the info.

When that feature is part of the GPS system it's usually displayed on same screen as Lat/Long...but I haven't even found that screen yet.

The only place I found it was under the 'hidden' developer menu when you press 'Menu", "Power", & "Home" at the same time. There is a subsection under there for the navigation and it shows the altitude.

Not a practical way for everyday use ;-)
