2000 gmc?

So I'm new to this group, now I just bought a 2000 GMC Sierra K2500. Had a couple questions. 1st its a plow truck, theres a spot for another battery and it seems like it could use another( plow drains the battery while it moves) another is when i go in reverse the brakes squeel. and last question i search my vehicle and it seems my body style is off and it looks more like the 99 and older models but the title says its a 2000. pick for review

I thought the new body style came out in '99 so that would mean there's a' 99 classic. However if you Google 2000 GMC sierra classic you'll see your body style. So I guess they ran the old style for 2 years?

Definitely add the largest alternator the truck can have.  My 98 has a spot to stick a second battery.  Take a picture of under the hood and lets see.

yup! it has another spot for a battery. any recommendations on a battery?

Optima red or yellow tops are nice but expensive.  I've ran interstate batteries and Autocraft golds.  Both seem do do decently however the interstate has lasted longer for me.  I would recommend any of the three.

The one in it now is the yellow top. would it be bad to run a different type on the otherside?
