2000 GMC K2500 engine hiccup

I recently changed the lower intake and intake gasket on my 5.7 Vortec.  Now, after about 10 miles of driving it randomly jerks, or hiccups.  It feels like a transmission issue, but I have the 5 speed manual and it only started after the intake job so I doubt it.  I have unplugged the EGR valve and the problem persists so I doubt that is the problem.  I have no codes so not sure what else I could do to narrow the problem down.
