Heater Core?

01 2500HD with the 6.0. After new radiator and water pump I suddenly have the coolant smell in the cab with some fogging of the windshield but no leaking in the cab. There is a small amount of coolant that leaks from a screw hole at the bottom of the firewall under the AC canister on the passenger side. Before I go tearing the dash apart to replace the heater core I guess I kind of wanted a little more confirmation that it’s the culprit and also hoping that it’s not considering how involved it is.

You might be able to use an inspection camera to peek inside the ducting to see if/where it's leaking...
