Retro fitting cold air intake

Is it possible to retrofit a kn intake from a 2009 Silverado 5.3 to a 2008 Silverado. Different maf sensor so I think with some cutting of the plastic tube it will be fine.

That or just go to your local 18wheeler shop and get you some tubing and make your own connection.
