This was the caption on Fl. Sportsman.....

 

 

I heard a story this morning that some Cubans who were trying to make it to

the USA in a 1951 Chevy flat bed truck that was strapped to a raft made of

55 gallon drums welded together. The truck was described as looking like a

"Sanford and Son" truck and there was a propeller fitted to the truck's

driveshaft. The raft made 8 MPH! They were picked up 40 mi south of Key

West.
