Just had a Carven-TR muffler installed :D

3” Carven-TR to 3” SS and a Carven black ceramic coated 3” to 4” tip. Christmas present that I finally got. LOL sounds nice and deep.

Just thought 550$ for SS piping was a little expensive but United Exhaust Shop on Long Island does exceptional work.

More clips coming tomorrow of cold start and driving
So glad I bought the TR. It’s LOUD but not too Loud. NO Drone but there is the chopper noise in V4. Very happy with CARVEN

Interested in hearing more clips. Been thinking about a Carven exhaust for a bit. Just seen they have a kit now for my truck that dumps before the axle for $350.

Interested in hearing more clips. Im debating on a carven tr or black widow venom 250. Unfortunately carven and many others do not make a cat back for my 6.2

I never seen the point in spending all the extra money on a "catback" or even new pipe period. Nobody's gonna see it and it all sounds the same (or doesn't it). All i did was get my TR welded in place of the stock muffler and it sounds identical. I believe the stock piping is 2 3/4 correct? So my buddy was gonna waste a ton of money getting all new 3 inch piping until I asked him if a quarter inch bigger is really worth 500 bucks to him (he decided against it) Not bashing anyone but it just doesn't make since to me. Now if your running bigger headers and a y pipe and all that then ok, but regardless of how big of pipe you put on your trucks still only pushing out what your stock manifolds let it... someone please correct me if I wrong. I'm open to corrective criticism

I wanted to remove the resonator that’s why I got all new pipe. I didn’t want a bunch of pieces welded together under my truck

I gotcha. I wasn't bashing on you bud, I just can't fathom spending all that extra money for the same sound. I'm too broke for all that [emoji23]

I thought it was very expensive for a little bit of pipe, but I got SS so hopefully it lasts
I think it’s def louder with 3” pipe and no resonators

Maybe when I get my headers and y pipe I'll get rid of the resonator and then run all new pipe. It'll be awhile yet tho. I've gotta get this Diablo and get rid of this damn afm. The chopper sound in v4 is horrendous. It reminds me of when you crack a rear window driving down the freeway and get that god awful thudding sound.

Stock 6.2 piping is 3.5” all the way to resonator. Then is 2.75” from resonator to exit. I already chopped my resonator off and my exhaust is now dumped. I want to get my exit back out at the rear bumper so if carven had a 6.2 kit with the tr I would buy it so I could install myself. Now I have to bring it to a muffler shop and have the muffler welded in and have them fab some 3.5” piping to the bumper.

What’s it sound like wot?

I'm one that can't justify the money on a cat-back. I had the muffler shop replace the stock muffler with the Carven R and replace the resonator with 3 inch piping.
