four wheel drive actuator failed

DMPIEPER

Question

The four wheel drive actuator failed while vehicle was under warranty, only five years.  Now with just over 30,000 miles the actuator failed again.  The warranty was over.  They charged me over $300 to replace the actuator.  Somehow these actuators are defective and should not have to be replaced that often with so few miles on the vehicle.  Any one else having problems with these actuators?  My truck is a 2011 Canyon with just over 30,000 miles. They covered nothing of the expense.  This will be my last GM product I ever buy.
