Strange Steering Issue on 07 Sierra 1500 (nbs)

This started the other day on my 2007 Sierra 1500(nbs), the steering wheel almost feels like it has a tight spot then jumps real quick. It does it very randomly only between the 11 and 1 oclock position (nearly straight). Other than this, truck seems to drive normal.

The truck doesn't show any of the typical signs of a bad rack but it almost seems like this is the problem.

I checked power steering fluid. Wheel bearings, ball joints and end links are all brand new same as brakes. Truck has 123k on it.

I can't find anything related to these issues but did read about possibly worn out rack bushings.

Hopefully someone can help me figure this out

check steering shaft ujoint they will bind when they are worn out

Try jacking up the front end. With the wheels off the ground, does it still do it? If so, disconnect one or both wheels via the tie rods. This should help isolate the problem.
