Front differential may be stuck in ?

Recommended Posts

I bought a 2013 Z92 Silverado about a month ago, and Ive noticed it acts like its stuck in  4WD.    I notice it when I try making sharp turns, it feels like the front end jumps a little bit.  I took it for a front end alignment today, and it seems to drive a little bit better, but the issue is still there.

I have no messages on my display center about the issue.   I do have to put the truck on 4WD to get out some of places I work, and I can tell that it makes a difference, so I know the transfer case is working properly.

Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to find out if the front differential is stuck in,  and if it is what could it be ?    I bought a extended warranty so everything is covered, Id just like to know what Im getting into.

Is it in the Auto position? It could be going in and out as needed. If you have extended warranty I would recommend taking it to a dealer and asking them to left it and check the system.

I never put it in the auto position.   I just leave it in 2Hi, and turn it to 4Hi when I need it.

Id say ill just call the dealer tomorrow about it.
