Yes all short beds have 26 gallons while the long beds are 34 (at least stock from gm)

Thanks for the varification.

Pretty scare to think about, I know I've put more than that in once or twice. I'm thinking I must have squeezed about 27 in which means I must have been wwwaaaaaaayyyyyy low.

Probably also depends on temperature when I did it.

That's strange. I know it's supposed to be 26 but I've never come anywhere near that. My low fuel light usually comes on at 22, and the most I've ever put in was just under 24. This was when the fuel gauge was below empty and the low fuel light had been on awhile. I can't imagine how low it'd have to be to actually put in 26. I think the fuel guages are pretty inaccurate tho...

I just want to be curtain.

Until today, I never met anyone who aspired to be drapery...

I aspire to be Pamela Anderson's shower curtain.

don't think the gas station pump meters are 100% accurate. I'd think that before thinking the tank would stretch....but the tanks probably aren't totally the same and exactly 26.

I thought they were 26 + the reserve ammount? Maybe I read the manual wrong. I know I've put just shy of 26 in it once. Man I thought for sure I was going to run out...

Nothing is 100% accurate but all gas station pumps must be regularly certified. You should see a sticker on the pump in most provinces and states. Note that they are volume corrected to a particular temperature, so the actual volume pumped will vary depending upon the expansion/contraction of the gas at other than the certified temperature.
