2006 sierra dash lights always on fixed

working on a 2006 slt sierra ccsb that the back lighting on the dash, radio and heater controls are always on. the battery lights also is on . put a new headlight switch in and that did not fix it. if i pull the bcm accessory fuse everthing returns to normal except then the power windows wont work and the warning chime. do you think the bcm is screwed or is there something else to look for. the truck did have an aftermarket viper alarm that i removed but that didnt change anything

for anyone else that has this problem, after hours of diagnostics the cause was the windshield wiper . there is diode on the wiper motor board that shorts out and back feeds to the dash lights
