Question about 4L60E - Hypertech or not?

I have the Hypertech Power Programmer already. My question is what is best for the life of the transmission? Stock shift firmness or firmer shift of the programmer?

Thanks.

people say for the tranny to last the longest...it needs to stay the coolest and have quick/firm shifts. But this also means the drivetrain gets a little more abuse. Tranny vs u-joints.

Thanks. I'm O.K. with that. I can change U joints. I ain't much on auto tranny repairs.:lol:

I've got 101K on mine and 85K with max performance, firm shifts, and raised shift points on my 4L60E Mostly stock except for my sig. I do tranny flushes at 25K and tow a few times a month. I have done zero driveline repairs so far. Tranny has a slight slip in 2-3 shift at WOT but otherwise works great. Now I beat on my Tahoe pretty hard BUT I avoid shifting (D-R, R-D) when not completely stopped and I don't hammer the gas until it is fully in gear. Other than taht, I stomp on it pretty regulary especially on the highway.
