6l80 transmission

2013 Chevy 1500LT 6L80 transmission will drive but when put into gear feels like it's in neutral. The rpms go up then shifts hard into reverse and does the same thing going to drive. Changed the fluid and filter already. 104,000 miles on truck and GM basically said tough crap that's your problem and won't help. The crappy dealer said there must be internal damage and I need to replace the transmission but who the heck has 3G's to do that. Any help would be great thanks..

I've seen rebuilds for 2K with a 1K core, no idea what a transmission shop would charge. Hope you got it figured out.

Why is it the dealer's fault???  Did you pay them to diagnose the transmission?  In doing so, they hook it up to their computer and see what's going on inside the transmission.  They will then recommend either replacing the broken part(s) or overhauling the whole thing.
