i want to put the loudest flowmaster i can on my 5.3liter chevy. i am going to have true duals with two mufflers dumped before the axle. i am looking at the 40 series delta flow. but don't know if that is what i want. i want it loud but i want it to sound good. and also i still have my factory cats and i am going to keep them. and one other thing when i rev. my engine up there is a whining sound and i don't know what it is. and i would like to have it fixed. so any info please .

I installed duel 40 series (Not Delta Flow) on my 5.3L.. Their not as loud I wanted. But the sound is starting to grow on me. I called Flowmaster and they mentioned to me if I want more sound to go with the Delta Force series of mufflers. This is their race muffler, it's different from the Delta Flow. They said the shorter the muffler is the louder it's going to be.

The loudest muffler that Flowmaster makes is the One chamber. It is essentially a race muffler. It will drive you crazy on a daily driven vehicle.

I had dual dynomax. They were pretty quiet at idle, couldn't hear it on the highway, but gave a nice sound at wot. Much quieter than flowmaster.

I'm pretty sure that I have the 50 series and I want it to be a little louder, so if I dump it will that make it louder at idle and while driving?

My 92 is "dumped"....and it resonates like a b!tch at certain RPMs.

Sounds great on the outside though. :smash:

I have heard that if you angle them toward each other it reduces the resonace because it cancels each other out or something like that? Does anyone know if thats true.

I can't verify that, but I've heard it too. I'm looking into getting the 40 series (not Delta Flow) right now. I've heard a few of them and they sound GREAT and are loud on the 5.3 L.
