just did a catback on my extended cab and ready to do the headers and decatted Y pipe, does anyone have either of these? Seem like only two choices, the other 3rd style looks like dogshit and uses the 2bolt flange connector everywhere both of these has the slip-fit normal style build.

Mainly concerned about fit and clearances on everything not concerned about power differences at all, either will be a huge increase.

I spent good money on performance parts back when I was racing. But outside of the competitive environment, I am much thriftier. Not due to a lack of funds, but because it is an employment opportunity. You can make money, working for yourself.

Example:

Retail price of .... I don't know.... let say .. Engine.

Engine cost at the "car parts store" = $3,000.

Research time required to find a better price online: 3 hours.

Better price found: $400.

You LITERALLY  just got paid $8,66.67 dollars per hour to research car parts! We love car parts. Why not get paid to research pricing on them?

You can make hundreds or thousands of dollars per hour, buying car parts, spending your own money.

The amount of money you spend on a part does not increase its usefulness. If someone gave you the parts for free, they would still work as good as the $3,000 parts.

Am I crazy, or does this make sense?

And of course, if you factor in net worth, it compounds the results.

Lets say you buy an engine for $3,000 that is worth $3,000 retail.

Retail price:              $3,000

Depreciation:           $1000

Cost:                         $3,000

Loss:                         $1,000

Buy purchasing this product, you have decreased your total net worth by $1,000. By that logic, you lost $1,000 buy purchasing this item.

What other people lose in simple depreciation by buying the same item: $1,000

If you research for weeks or months, and find the same item for $1000.

Retail value:         $3,000

Depreciation:       $1,000

Cost:                     $1,000

Profit:                    $1,000

That is a monetary difference of $3,000 between retail loss and your profit. If you take the retail price of $3,000 and subtract the monetary difference, you just got paid $2,000 to buy a $3,000 item, for $1,000. Another way to look at it is that you got paid $3,000 to research pricing on something you were going to buy anyway. Either way you look at it, you make money buying things. Not actual cash, but overall net worth. Then if you factor in the initial losses, it gets even more complicated. Too complicated for me. Either way you slice it, if you spend time researching better prices, you make money hand over fist.
