Water Leak

When it Rains i get a water puddle on the passenger side floor. i think it is coming in through the HVAC in take up on the cowling i guess that is what you call it. and come out thru the blower motor resistor/ blower motor area down below. i silly coned around the intake and got rid of that blown gasket. my question is is there some type of covering that is below that black mesh grill where the wipers are. because right now i am at my wits end trying to figure this 1 out.

I believe there is a drain over by the a-pillar on each side. Rain will enter the vent area and the drain to the side while air will flow over the tray. Sounds like drain is clogged or tray is cracked.
