Pop & Lock in tonneau or camper with OEM power tailgate lock/unlock

I just installed the Pop & Lock on the latch for my Leer camper shell and tapped into the wiring at the back of the truck for the OEM power lock/unlock in the tailgate. It works great but now my tailgate lock won’t work. It makes noise but doesn’t seem to have enough juice to completely cycle. I can unhook one of the Pop & Lock wires to disable it and tailgate functions as designed.

 

Any advice/suggestions?
