Center console cooler

Has anyone modified there center console to become a cooler? I am in need of a cooler in my truck, I'm an alcoholic and need cold beer 24-7. Just kidding. I would like to store pop and food in there if possible, any sugestions?

GM Accessories somewhere said they have a 7 quart electric cooler that fits in the center console. I've been trying to find out more about it but nothing so far.

I think they discontinued the cooler, but check with the dealer.

just drill a small hole untill you can see the pavement, then add ice and drinks

You ought to unscrew the inside of the console and lift it out! It's unbelievable the amount of electronic stuff GM has shoved under the center console. I have a 2003 and there is some big aluminum box with cooling fins under there. I have no idea what it goes to. I was looking in there to find a place to steal 12 volt power for my CB radio, like the input wire to the cigarette lighter or one of the 12 volt accessory plugs.
