Balancing out Z7!1 regular cab

I've got a 2000 regular cab Z71. I would like to balancing out the look in the back to match the front. I don't want a "low rider" by any means, but I'm just looking for the "non jacked up back end" look. Any suggestions??????

FYI...I'm a cheap SOB, so the money does factor into my decision. THANKS !!!!

Remove the 2" spacer between the leaf spring and the rear axle.

Instead of lowering the rear end, why not turn up the front end torsion bars?

Sorry the stupid question…but, what's the difference between (A) removing the 2" spacer between the leaf spring and the rear axle and (b) turning up the front end torsion bars?

You're leveling your ride by a) lowering the rear to match the front, or b) raising the front to match the rear. If you don't like the 'low-rider' look, go for option 'b'.

Cheapest/least labor involved is throwing some ballast/weight (logs, cinder blocks, etc) in the bed to lower it!

might want to use 2 inch lowering shackles for the rear like i did

Question......

Looked at removing the 2 inch spacer between the leaf spings and the rear axle. To do this I need 4 new U bolts. The factor installed U bolts are not threaded up high enough to compensate for the decrease of 2 inches. Not sure what happens to the bed if i would do this. Do the leaf springs compensate for this??? Or will the bed looked "leaned back"????

The difference between removing the spacers and adding the lowering shackles? You either buy lowering shackles or u-bolts. Really though I added an extra leaf to the back springs and it raised it about 1 1/2" so I removed the spacers and it helped to level it out with no adverse effects.
