Where to get Delvac 400

I have heard good reviews on synthetic Delvac 400 5/40 engine oil but can't find it anywhere.I'm ready for a oil change on my Dmax and really want to use this stuff.Any info would be appreciated.

Do you mean Delvac 1 (Mobil oil product) or Chevron Delo 400?

 

Both are good oils. Good luck finding the Chevron synthetic. All I can find around here is Shell 5w-40 synthetic or Mobil Delvac 1 5w-40. I use the Shell in the winter. At about $13 per gallon, you can't go wrong.

You can also find the Delvac 1 at the big rig truck stops or at your local Mobil oil distributor. I had to call Exxon/Mobil to find the distributor.

You can find Chevron Delo 400 at Wally World.

15w-40 Dino oil only. Just under $7 per gallon.

My local Navistar/Freightliner dealer sells it to me for about $23 per gallon. Any big truck dealer should have it or should be able to get it. AVLube is also a great source.

 

Try some of the local big truck dealers for a better price. The trucks stops charge a premium price- where else is a trucker going to get two gallons of oil for his big rig at 3 AM during a fuel stop?? They got you by the nuts.

That sounds about right for the oil. It is a really good synthetic and known as the Million mile oil.

 

AMSOIL'S Series 3000 5w030 is a really good diesel oil as well and is comparable in price. It runs $31.55 a gallon but if your a preferred customer then it comes down to a wopping $25.50 a gallon and like all AMSOIL products it gets deliverd to your door.

 

Don't know if your familar with this site bobistheoilguy.com but you can read up on a ton of great posts of different users of all kinds of oils and what they really like and experience. There is a ton of other info on filters and such.

I ordered a case from Avlube yesterday.It was $96.00 for 4 gallons delivered to my door.Next time I need some I will check the local International dealer.Thanks for the link TXDMAX.
