my mileage is about 15.4 and i now have 115k

if there is no ses light on does this mean they are operating properly?

or no matter what do they need to be replaced after 100k miles

i found a place that sells them for 48.00 each(ac delco)

but don't want to spend money i could put somewhere else

Thanks Guys :chevy::jester::lol:

Take your money and invest it into something else. Oxygen sensors only need replacing when bad (check engine light is on and had code for the o2 sensors)

I have one now that just went bad at 90,000. I would wait until the light went on and they coded before changing them. No point doing them early.

O2 sensors react more slowly with age. Once they get bad enough the SES light will light. If you have any type of mileage drop, I would replace them. I track my mileage every tank in a spreadsheet. I saw my mileage start to drop a bit at about 85K. At 100K I replaced them and immediately got a bump in mileage.

Ultimately it's your call. If you do replace them, do the "before Cat" ones only as the rear ones are only there to veryfy your Cats are working.

Thanks guys

i found out the four on my truck are all the same part #

so since the post cats don't relate to mileage i swapped

the fronts to the rears

let you know how it does next tank full

( if i can afford it , up to 1.79 gallon)

Thanks

Probably a good test. Funny though, on my Tahoe, the pre-cat and post-cat are different.

Just filled up at $2.03 for super. Might have to drop the 93 octane tuning if this keeps up.
