Throttle Body Spacer

They are pretty much an entry level mod that really does nothing for you. Some guys love them and can tell the difference, and some guys don't. I have one, but only because it was one of the first things I bought. The intake runner is already plenty long on the trucks. So if you thinking your gonna see a 10-15 hp gain, expect more like 1-2.

The only thing they do on the Vortec motors (96-present) is create a whistle. On the older trucks, the ones with TBI Motors would be the ones that notice the best actual benefit. The idea is this, the more swirl and length of runner to swirl in, the better mixed the fuel and air become. This only benefits the TBI engines as they are the only ones with 'wet' throttle bodies. Another design of a TB spacer is CFM-Tech's, they cut a passage between the two bores of the throttle body. This helps tremendously since those truck all have dual-plane intake manifolds.

In summation, :smash:
